A truly "Happy" New Year?

How many of you have found the words:  “Happy” New Year!  a little vague?  ...  the truth of the matter is that you have no idea what the year is going to bring!  But, when you live in what seems to be the “happiest nation on earth” as rated by several recognized experts... then the idea of having a “happy year” might be something that you would consider a little bit more realistic than just saying three words because of use and custom. 

Cynthia Duran from Hacienda Pinilla (www.haciendapinilla.com) sent us the attached article published recently in the New York Times.  Thank you Cynthia!   It is an article by Nicholas D. Kristof entitled:  “The Happiest People”.  In all honesty, I have read about this Happy Planet Index and the Database of Happiness and so on, but this is the first time an article focuses seriously on why Costa Rica was given such high ratings, even above very important first world countries where people have very high standards of living and have access to much more benefits, better public infrastructure and facilities than Costa Ricans.  The article was translated into Spanish and published in Newspaper La Nacion. 

If you are considering this year investing in real estate for any reason, you will definitely think about Costa Rica with a different perspective after reading this article.
