Selling luxury real estate is about selling peace of mind.
If you check Wikipedia for the words "Peace of Mind" you will read: "Peace of Mind" may refer to: The absence of mental stress or anxiety, and the presence of serenity, calm, quiet, comfort of mind; Inner peace.

In decades of selling luxury real estate I have come across many clients who are looking not only for a "piece of property" but for the right kind of property that will bring the necessary peace of mind to them and their families. High end buyers of luxury real estate are very particular about their needs and demands, and fulfilling them is not an easy task, especially in our case, as we are dealing with clients who are moving from a different country, different language, and different culture.

At a closing recently, our client was at the end of a process that had taken him and his wife several years of continuous search for the right kind of property. They flew several times from their home country to Costa Rica and went back with a sour flavor of not having found their property. Finding that property, at the right price, right location and meeting all the requirements, was a dream come true. After signing the contract they said they finally had peace of mind, and felt completely overwhelmed by the fact that the property was the perfect fit for them.

Selling luxury real estate is a challenge that not many can take, but when taking this challenge, real estate professionals have to be sensitive and listen carefully, in order to be able to capture the essence of the kind of property their clients are looking for. There is magic on that very moment when the client and the property meet for the first time, for that reason, pushing a client towards a property that might not be the right one, would be like taking away the opportunity of finding the peace of mind the client is looking for. Because of the many factors involved, selling luxury real estate takes much more time and effort than selling other types of properties. It requires a lot of experience, sensitivity and extra doses of patience. After all, the end result should bring peace of mind to all.
