Why would Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie buy a house in Costa Rica?
Over the past few weeks, news released about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie buying property in Costa Rica.
Why do you think a famous couple like this, with enough money to buy property any where over the planet, would even consider buying property in Costa Rica, a tiny little country in the middle of the American continent?
The plans were to spend the holidays in Costa Rica and purchase a farm before New Year. Rumors even said they were considering Mel Gibson´s ranch in Guanacaste as one of their options. He bought the 500 acre ocean front ranch in 2007 for $25.8 million and has it currently listed for $35 million. The property has two luxury homes, a private beach access and over 150 hectares of Costa Rican jungle and large tracks of cattle ranch land. Not bad for spending a few days out of the year and hiding away when life gets hectic.
The fact is that many wealthy families from different parts of the world are looking at Costa Rica with the same kind of interest and it is not surprising that there is already an increasing demand for very unique ranches, mansions and million dollar homes for sale in Costa Rica.
Buying luxury real estate in Costa Rica has become an important task in the agenda of some millionaires around the globe. Price is not the problem for this kind of buyers. The real challenge is to find the perfect property to fit their needs and demands. Surprisingly enough, absolute privacy and security are the number one requirement. Luxury and comfort are also very important but secondary, as long as the property fits the other two, the rest can be accomplished along the way to the complete satisfaction of the new owners.
Like everything in life, living in paradise has a price when you have to leave behind your regular routine and the comforts of daily life. In this case the price might result in several million dollars. But a couple like Brad and Angelina are willing to pay the price as long as they find what they cannot buy with money: peace and tranquility, away from their busy lives, and their kids having a different lifestyle experience, enjoying the natural wonders that Costa Rica has to offer.

On one hand Brad Pitt says Costa Rica “will be the perfect place for the family to get away from everything for a while.” He adds that he “loves the country and is considering buying some Costa Rican property so they can spend some time there when life gets less hectic for them.”
On the other hand, Angelina Jolie says she plans to step away from her flourishing Hollywood career in a few years to focus more on raising her children who will by then be near their teenage years. She explained, “My kids (Maddox 10, Pax 8, Zahara 6, Shiloh 5, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne) will need me a lot when they hit their teens. If I know anything about being a teenager, I need to be braced to be spending a lot of time with all six of them and making sure I can be there when they go through everything. So I’m sure I’ll be working from home in some way. Maybe I’ll get to write or something.”The plans were to spend the holidays in Costa Rica and purchase a farm before New Year.
