Buying homes in Costa Rica for vacation purposes is a trend, and some buyers prefer to keep them as vacation rental homes to cover year round expenses. 

There is a large amount of inventory of luxury homes presently in the market that are been used as vacation rental homes.  This is a trend that did not exist before.  Since the real estate crash, many owners of luxury homes in the beach decided to put them in the market as vacation rental homes, and with the income that this kind of business generates, they easily cover all the expenses of their vacation rental homes such as payment of full time staff to take care of their guests and general maintenance, payment of taxes, purchasing of new equipment  for the house, etc.  It is easy to find beautiful and very unique vacation rental homes in Costa Rica, some of them are million dollar homes where you can spend the most incredible vacation been pampered by highly qualified staff, that will make your vacation an unforgettable experience.
